What is the purpose for giving my street address if I am paying for goods and services?

Well, if you're paying for goods that need delivery then they'll need your address for shipment, of course. If you're paying for something that doesn't require shipping then you wouldn't need to provide an address. From the seller side you can specify "noshipping" in your payment request, but if the seller specifies that they need an address you'll have to provide it.

I reposted the question so it was asked more clearly, but I didn’t know if I’d receive a receipt in the mail for a service. Plus, I assumed that fees were included if using a prepaid visa gift card.
