Hello,

I'm from Belgium and I am selling a car.

I got a good offer and she send me this:

"

Before Anything,i hope you are honest and not a thief/fraud,
Sorry about my question, there are lots of fraud so am careful.
Thanks for the mail, i am buying this for my brother,i am a petroleum
engineer currently on a rig offshore i really want this to be a
surprise gift for my Brother so i wont let him know anything about
this until it gets delivered to him , i am sure he will be more than
happy with it.I can only pay with PayPal here, if you do not mind,
we can complete the transaction via paypal and if you do not have a
PayPal account, you can simply visit www.paypal.com.

Please get back to me with the following information,
1) Are you the owner?
2) Pick-up location?
3) Your PayPal Email ID to make the payment
4) Your final price?

it is very easy to setup, go to www.paypal.com and get it set up ,
after you have set it up i will only need the e-mail address you
use for registration with PayPal so as to put the money through.
I will also arrange a courier service that will come and collect
it after you receive the payment.
Thanks..

"

Should I trust this? Is it possible that it is a fraud?

Thanks!

Should you trust her?  OF COURSE NOT.

Time to educate yourself on PayPal polcies.  NEVER ACCEPT PAYPAL AS A PAYMENT SOURCE FOR A VEHICLE.

@SiMme

THIS IS A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal and often say they are working offshore or disabled so can't come themselves.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

If the car requires shipping they will tell you that they will pay you extra and you must pay the agent via western union / moneygram BEFORE the funds are released to you.

They are not interested in the car, they just want the western union etc funds and you will never see money in your paypal balance.

They also threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service.

Also their is no seller protection on paypal for any type of motor vehicle.

Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
