Is the payment certain?

I have a car to sell at a distant location. If I accept a Paypal payment, and the transaction goes through... am I SURE to get paid? What if the $ is not in their account? Or if it's a stolen Credit Card? Or if they've exceeded their credit limit? In these(or similar) cases will the transaction just be denied? In other words... can I trust this as a payment source and safely release the vehicle to the buyer?

Your best option is to sell for "cash".

As a seller there's no Seller Protection for "vehicles" as you can't ship a car via USPS or UPS - as this is something that has to either picked up in person or delivered by a 3rd party - according to the User Agreement the sale is not eligible for coverage under PayPal’s Seller Protection program.
