I received an email saying someone may be using my account and says it wants me to click to login and it will ask me questions regarding my account. I did not go through that link.

That is good that did not go through that link!  It sounds like a phishing attempt.  If you ever receive emails like this it is recommended to simply close the email, open your web browser, and log in to your PayPal account directly.  If there is indeed any questions involving your account you will see a notice when you login and you can deal with it that way.
