Getting emails from someone posing as Paypal

I was wondering if anyone else has been getting spam mail lately that's claiming to be from PayPal saying that transactions have been cancelled and credit info is out of date. I know this isnt from PayPal because the emails are going to one of my other emails as opposed to the one that my account is set up on through paypal.. just wondering if this is something I should report or, what... also what can I do to stop the messages. Do I just keep doing what I normally do and just ignore them?

You will know an email is not from PayPal when:

•The email uses a generic greeting like 'Dear user' or 'Hello, PayPal member’.
•The email requests financial and other personal information.
•The email includes an attachment, a software update to install on your computer.

Ignore and delete.

Hi @Sketchratner,

You can most definitely report the phishing emails to us! I've linked more info on how to do so here.
