Email Scam Titled: Un-authorized activity in Your PayPal

PayPal Users, beware of emails that look like this!  Instead of clicking on the link in the email, I went directly to my PayPal account and confirmed that there were no "Un-authorized Activity" in my account.

 

PayPal, please investigate this fraudulent email.  I was not able to include the email address that this came from but can provide if you need it.

 

Subject:  Un-authorized activity in Your PayPal

 

Dear PayPal ­Custo­mer,
We dete­cted som­eth­ing un­u­sual about a rec­ent sign-­­in to the PayPal account. To he­lp kep y­ou safe, we req­uire­d an ex­tra security cha­llenge.

Date: 2/8/2018 4:16:20 PM (GMT)

 

If this ­­­­­was yo­u, then you can safe­ly ignore this email.

If you have not done so already:

* Forward the entire email to:    spoof@paypal.com.
* Do not alter the subject line or forward the message as an attachment.
* Delete the suspicious email from your inbox.
* Never click on any links within the email or open any attachments.
