Dispute

I have a friend that gave me money, she sent them in several small transactions. 3 months later I receive notice that the transactions have been reported as being made without card holders consent. I sent a message to the resolution center, and contacted the friend. She stated she had no clue, she contacted her bank, and she claims the bank initiated the claim. Well, the decision has come down and they refunded all of the money. She says she talked to the bank and told them to cancel the dispute. How is this possible, she authorized the charges and now I'm out money because PayPal, says other wise. Based on what facts? Is there a appeal process? Am I just out over 300$.

If the money was sent as friends/family then you have no PayPal protection.

Somebody apparently dispsuted the transaction with the bank.  The sender is the only person who can contact the bank and ask for details.
