Common Scam?

I received email from "service@paypal" that stated it was confirmation of a charge to my paypal account for Google Play. And said "It could take a few moments for this transaction to show up on your account." The email has a link to click on that states "This isn't you? Resolve now>" So if I click on the link I would think it would take me to their fake webpage so that I can enter my paypal password. ................. Um, I guess it would take more than "a few moments" for their bogus transaction to show up on my account, since it doesn't exist in my world............. Also, in small type at the bottome of the email it states to visit their "Preference Centre" if I want to adjust the preferences on my paypal account. Note the spelling of "Centre". I don't know anyone in this country to spells center that way.

Its a spoof, DO NOT USE ANY LINK.

Firstly if the email addressed you as ''Dear Member'' / ''Customer'' / ''Client'' OR your ''email address'' then that confirms its a spoof as paypal would address you by your full name eg Dear John Smith.

Secondly if there was a link OR attachment in that email to ''cancel'' the transaction or ''confirm'' any details then again it would be a spoof.

If there was a problem with your account paypal would not ask you to click on an unsafe link in an email or by downloading an attachment, they would direct you to log in normally and go to the resolution or the message centre for more information.
