I had at the request of another party been asked to receive money owed to me from a personal debt thru my paypal account. This so called friend had a man known only to her pay this debt and deposited the money to my paypal. Clearly this ex friend lied to this man and told him it was money for a phone she wanted to purchase. Well when the man doesn't receive a phone call from said phone he decides that imaginary phone is locked and want a new one. How can I be protected from another persons scam? Well when the refund is issued for a phone that has to be returned how am I protected when he decides to send any old phone and claims the phone actually existed?
