Avoiding Chargebacks

Hello,

I have a big-ticket, intangible item that somone  has offered to puchase from me. The buy seems somewhat fishy. Im aware that PayPal doesn't protect sellers from chargebacks on Intangible items.

How can I prevent chargebacks?

Thanks.

Sell only items which qualify for PayPal seller potection.  PayPal will then refund for for chargebacks.

If you want to avoid chargebacks then do not accept credit card or PayPal charges; they means you can only accept cash.

There is a huge geographical distance between me and the buyer.  Will multiple emails between me and the client, confirming the purchase be sufficient if they decide to chargeback?

No.

Click on Legal at the bottom of the page and then User Agreement.  Make sure you understand seller protection then determine how much risk you want to take and how much money you are willing to lose.  Do not sell something if you can't afford to lose the money and the product.
