Hi,

I am a new seller in Ebay-Paypal  (around 6 months)

I had hundreds of succesfull sales.

I had received a notification of Transaction not authorized yesterday (September, 25).

I sold an item (the total purchase Just 15$) on September 07.

I sent the item on September 10 through DHL Express.

the item was received on September 18.

I am eligible for Seller Protection,

Will I keep my money?

Thanks

Don't worry about the "solution" thing, i only put that because i must give up my time (whilst sorting my own auctions) to answer loads of posts of whom very few bother to even say thank you.

But to answer your question yes you would probably have had seller protection if you had a business account but to be honest only paypal customer services can say that for sure.

OK off to put the rugby on now England have already started to play.    Smiley Happy

No-one here can tell you that only customer services can tell you.

But as you have not stated whether you met ALL the requirements of seller protection and only stated 2 of them we can't advise you.

You do have a business account don't you?

Hi, thanks for your reply.

What are the others requirements ?

I have a personal account.

When I sold the items, It says "Elegible to Seller Protection"

and There are theses requirements:

Basic Requirements:

  • You must ship the item to the shipping address on the Transaction Details Page.
  • You must respond to PayPal's requests for documentation and other information in a timely manner.
  • The item must be a physical, tangible good that can be shipped.
  • Your primary residence, as listed in your Account, must be in the United States.

Unauthorized Transactions Additional Requirements:

  • The payment must be marked “eligible” for PayPal Seller protection on the Transaction Details Page.
  • You must provide Proof of Shipment or Proof of Delivery.

1) I sent the item to the shipping address on the Transacion Details Page.

2) I responded the Paypal requests for tracking online.

3) The item are physical.

4) My address is US.

5) The item says "Eligible" for Paypal Seller protection

6) The tracking of DHL say it was delivered.

I read a lot of many forums of previous years (2009-2012), all says that Paypal refund to the cardholder.

I am asking your recents experiences about this cases.

Thanks for help me

As you are not allowed to sell on a personal account then you may well have lost your seller protection.

Personal accounts are for buying or receiving money from family / friends.

So even if you met all the other requirements you "may" still lose out.

From ebay help pages  >>>

For selling on eBay this PayPal Payments Policy applies. You can start selling using a Personal Account and upgrade once you have received your first Credit/Debit Card payment; however, for those payments, before you upgrade you will not have Seller Protection unless you have a Verified Premier or Business Account.

Thanks, I didn`t know it.

I will upgrade my account.

I understand you that the purchases before of my upgrade will not cover for the Seller protection.

My last question to give you "Accepted solutions"...

So, If I had a Bussiness account...  I would be very likely to keep the money???

thanks again
