PayPal has a good reputation. Synchrony Bank has a very bad reputation with customer service, do your research. They offer higher interest rates on deposits and higher cash back on credit cards, but it seems to come at a cost. PayPal is too good of a company to partner with Synchrony, I'm sure in time PayPal will figure out this mistake. If you have any dealings with Synchrony Bank proceed with caution, they might be making mistakes "accidently on purpose" or are just too incompetent to trust with money. Extra cash back will not make up for late payment fees... that might not be your fault due to making it hard to pay your bill.
