Son's account still has remnant of student account

I had a student account for my son. I am trying to help him make it his own. How do I go about that?

Because Student Accounts have been phased out, it's not possible to do what you have in mind - your son would need to open a new account (assuming he is 18 or older).

He would like to use the same e-mail address. Is that possible?

He will need a new email address and financial accounts in his name.

I called Paypal and they were able to close his student account and release the e-mail for him to use to create a new account.

Nice !!!  That's good news for others who may have a similar concern with Student Accounts.
