Prepaid Paypal Debit Mastercard, Transfer money from paypal to card????? Won't let me?

Hi, I went out and bought the prepaid paypal debit MasterCard today thinking I would be able to get home and activate it to transfer money from my paypal account to the card in real time like the site states. Also the back of the card package says "Transfer money from your Paypal account by visiting paypal.com/prepaid." I did that and the card is activated and the card is on my paypal account under credit cards. But when I go to transfer money only my bank account shows up not the card. Why can I not use it??  Also I can not be approved for the MasterCard paypal card, was denied by the way. That is why I am going with the prepaid debit paypal card. Also the card is confirmed under the my cards page.

 

Any help would be helpful. Also, I read somewhere about adding the Bancorp routing number and your account number to get direct deposit but when I try to find my account information on the page it does not show the area in gray with the acct number like the help page said. Do I have to do that to be able to transfer money from paypal to card?

 

Really confused.

There is a $4.95 fee to transfer money to debit card. No fee for transfer to bank. Really misleading.

I recently went out and purchased the PayPal Prepaid Mastercard as well, and to my frustration, I was told the same thing, that I would be unable to transfer my paypal balance until I had my "personalized" card.  I was infuriated as well, just like one of the previous commentors.  I was on the phone with them for over 3 hours! Trying to figure out why I couldn't transfer funds and then finally someone came to the realization that I only had a temporary card.  I more or less threw a fit about it and told them the same thing, that their advertising was EXTREMELY misleading and said ABSOLUTELY nothing about receiving the personalized card before having full functionality of the card.  It is very disappointing to learn that someone else experienced the same issue as I, a year prior to now.  I am currently (literally right now) on hold for a supervisor, for over an hour now!!! Because I am trying to transfer funds from the paypal-prepaid.com site and after I go through all of the steps (which I have done previously), and was successful at it) it keeps bringing me back to the "login" screen.  Of course the first 2 people I spoke with told me I would just have to wait 30 mins and then the "IT" department would have the issue fixed, but no such luck as of yet.  Also back to my original mention of my initial experience with the temp card... For anyone else who gets "hoodwinked/bamboozled/run-a-mucked (Robinhood Men In Tights reference 😉 ) I would reccomend calling them and asking to speak with a supervisor and STRESSS as much as you can how frustrated you are and how you felt mislead, because in my doing so, they overnighted a personalized card to me, and waived the $25 shipping fee. If anyone happens to have a resolution to the transferring of funds issue and getting kicked back to the login screen repeatedly, please let me know! Otherwise good luck with your future paypal endeavors! I don't see myself sticking around for much longer if something doesnt change!!

Mine is not working today either. I've had the card for over a year and never had problems before.

I'm having the same problem as well; log in just fine and see no balance inside of the brackets above where the transfer amount box is. Whenever I try to go ahead and transfer it takes me right back to the log in screen; must be a glitch in the system that the wonderful IT guys are taking care of.

Okay, so I have been going crazy for the last day or so with this issue. I emailed PayPal and this is what she wrote:

Still unable to transfer funds from Paypal to Paypal prepaid; each time I try I'm rerouted to logging in again... this is VERY frustrating and I feel as if they are holding our money hostage. Not cool

You all are not alone. I had much needed money that i have to get to, I am unable to do so because paypal dropped the ball.

I was having the same log in loop for months. Called to complain yesterday. Was asked to clear history, cookies, everything. Then was directed to www.paypal.com/d1. Worked perfectly. Maybe that'll help
