Hello! I'm going on vacation soon, and I didn't see a post pertaining to this subject anywhere else. ANYWAY. My question is this: How much are fees and transaction costs in total, if I pay for things in another country with my card? If they accept my card (which they should if they accept the card issuer's brand... Mastercard, Visa, etc.) then I'll be paying from my card's account in the US, from American dollars, to the store or business's account in their country (not the US, probably). There's a foreign transaction fee, and probably other fees too... my question is, how is all this ranked? I'm having a hard time finding this information at current and want to make sure I not only bring enough, but also use my resources wisely while abroad (traceable/convenient card purchases v. money-saving, time-saving cash purchases). Thanks to anyone who has any information!
