Credit Card Cash Back with new chip cards

So how are we going to force credit card not debit when using this new chip based card at local stores? The new chip cards make you use a pin even if you pick credit when checking out.

Actually, even though most POS readers ask for a PIN, I've been able to press "enter" on all I've used since I got my chip card and it processes as a credit transaction.

I'll try it once they make me switch to the new card. the old one doesn't expire till 2020 but i bet they disable it before then.
