Removing And Replace Bill Me Later

I recently added Bill Me Later to my account.  In looking at its function it's not what I need.  I'd like to add apply for and add

PayPal Extras MasterCard as my backup.  When I apply for PayPal Extras MasterCard I get an error indicating that I can't apply for the card because I have Bill Me Later.  How can I remove Bill Me Later and then add PayPal Extras MasterCard?
