PayPal debit card, some transactions fail?

I'm trying to use my PayPal debit card to make purchases from the oculus store, a vr gaming store. However, when trying to add my card as a payment option, the transaction always fails, but in my PayPal history I can see the dollar being withdrawn to verify my card. Is PayPal blocking this, and can I verify all future attempts to do this from the site or do I need to rely on PayPal to do that for me?

Do you have a confirmed linked to your PayPal account?

Are you trying to make a purchase through PayPal or just using your debit card?

No checkout option,I have to add the card as a form of payment, similar to how it's done on the PlayStation store. Enter card number, expiration, security code, zip code. It always fails, but I see the solar being withdrawn from my PayPal that they use to verify that it's a legit account. So my assumption is there is a block somewhere.

I have no clue what one sees at Playstation checkout and the same for Oculus.

Is this a U. S. purchase being shipped to a U. S. destination?

You could try a credit card rather than debit card.

Perhaps debit cards jsut don't work on that site's checkout.

My PayPal debit is my only money card do switching isn't that easy for me. I know the site does work with debit cards as I have used a prepaid card there before but I'm tired of the hassle of switching cards and all the fees for loading them.

Did you ask the website why it can verify your card and not accepting it for payment?

are you trying to use it as a debit care or credit card?
