The PayPal Business debit card doesn't extend credit, its a debit card.
You will need the funds in your PayPal balance to cover a purchase. You can set your checking account as a back up funding source in case of a zero PayPal balance. PayPal will also let you set a PayPal branded credit card as the Business debit cards back up funding source.
One of the nice features of the PayPal Business debit card is the one percent monthly cash back bonus on all credit signature purchases. Make sure you activate the cash back bonus feature in your card settings if you haven't.
