Send Money Friends & Family Issue

I sent find through this. I’ve had a PayPal account for 6 years and use it regularly. The person I sent the funds to says they haven’t received, it’s shows pending on my end, and when I sent the funds it said the person would have to claim the money. This person doesn’t understand how to do this. Any advice?

Does it show as pending / unclaimed with or without a cancel option?

Have you double checked the email address you sent the item to and made sure you or they did not make a typo?

Is the payment being made in a currency the receiver accepts?
