Paypal and IBAN

I've been trying to link my Paypal account with my Bank account but there's an issue:

paypal accepts only numbers when entering the IBAN, however my IBAN contains numbers AND letters,

it looks something like this:  CH18 XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXMX W   (X = number)

How am I supposed to enter it when it only accepts numbers? Also, which 14 numbers am I supposed to put? I count 19 here.

I've tried contacting the customer service 3 times already, all I get is radio silence.

Well as you ask so nicely with a please and no threats how can we refuse........oh yes we can.
