How do I find out if someone selling on Ebay and requesting payment via Paypal is ligitimate..... We are not talking a pair of shoes; we are talking about a skid loader that will need to be delivered over 1000 miles, and apparently part of the deal....

Any advice?

Thanks

Ask that an invoice and contract be sent to you by mail.  You should be willing to take legal action against the seller if there is a problem as you will have little protection from PayPal.

The must nothing that is "apparently part of the detail".  The seller needs to spell out all details about the contract and the item.  You should have a trusted associate physically inspect the item before purchase.  Your protection will be as good as your due dilligence before the sale.

PayPal will not protect you from your own poor judgement.
