If you don't have an account with PayPal, when making a donation to someone through via a PayPal donate button, what information is shared with the receiver of the donation?
For example, the common PayPal credit card donate form contains the desired amount of a donation, the card form, as well as the billing address. As far as I know, only the name and email of the donor is actually shared with the receiver of the funds, and the address and phone number is just for verifcation purposes between PayPal and the credit card account. Unfortunately, I can't find any current information to back that up. Is this correct?
The closest I can find to an answer is from way back in 2012: /t5/About-Payments-Archive/quot-Donate-quot-button-what-information-about-donor-do-I-get/m-p/437491/highlight/true#M2250
I just want to make sure that this information is still corrrect.
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
