Not recieved any money

Hi, I just transferred, or tried to transfer a x amount of money to someone. This is what says about the payment I sent:

"We are looking at this payment in detail. Some payments are subject to this arrangement and usually take up to 24 hours. Please do not send your goods until we receive our confirmation."

What does this mean? How long does it take for him to recieve the money? "usually take up to 24 hours"?

It means they are doing a security check that will take up to 24 hours.

Who knows, I guess if we knew it would break that security !!!

But i guess its to make sure an account is genuine, a payment is genuine, the transaction is genuine the buyer and seller or sender and receiver are genuine..................etc etc etc.

So if the Security check would fail, I'm hoping I would retrieve my money back?

Well yes, thats the whole point of paypal holding it, to make sure everything is ok first.
