I sold an item and the winner says that he had sent the payment with Pay Pal.  I noticed that I had an old email address linked to my account.  I have since linked the  correct email address but my Ebay account still says "Awaiting Payment". I have sold an item during all of this and the payment wait into my account with no problem.  What can I do to complete this transaction

Go and find the transaction in your “my ebay” > click to the right where it says sell similar > don't fill in anything just scroll down to the payments section > look in the paypal box > is the email addy in there correct with no spelling mistakes? If so then it would have been wrong on your finished auctions so come back for more advice.

I checked the listing and the Pay Pal email was wrong.  I have updated it since but this listing still shows that the payment is still porcessing.

You can't change an email address on an 'ended' auction, it will only now apply to future sales.

.......

You need to contact your buyer(s) and ask them to see what it says in their paypal accounts either:
1. Unclaimed with a cancel option.
2. Unclaimed.
3 Completed.

If its:

Unclaimed with a cancel option.

Ask them to cancel the payment but tell them that it will take a few days to go back to their funding source. Then get them to use the "send money" > Goods/Services option and pay to your email address. Tell them DO NOT use the ebay option or it will direct them to ebay checkout and the same thing will happen. They may not want to do this and so you could then cancel the transaction.

Unclaimed.

If there is no cancel option then the buyer will get their money back automatically 30 days after paying.
Again they may not want to pay you again until they get their money back so you may need to cancel the transaction for them.

Completed.

If its completed then come back for more advice.
You can also get the buyers phone number via ebays 'advanced' search option.
