Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Community! I'm sorry that you're having trouble making payments using your debit card. I'm not sure what, exactly, you mean by your card being held by the 'merchant', but I would suggest having a look at this post I made a while back, as far as why you may have trouble making payments, as well as some options to pursue in fixing this.
