Inactive recurring subscriptions

I cancelled recurring susbcription and it shows as inactive. Can I reactivate it in paypal or I have to restart from the merchant website?

Canceled subscriptions cannot be reactivated - you would need to start new with the seller or merchant.  

(An inactive status here essentially means the subscription is cancelled.)

You cannot reactivate it on your PayPal account but you can make another recurring subscription from the same merchant through their website using the same PayPal account.
