If I send money to a friend over family and friends will they get a fee taken out of the money?

So it says I won't be feed, but will they? If I send £500, will paypal say take £40 off it unexpectedly because they might get feed, even if its telling me there is no fee, that's my side.

Assuming there's no currency conversion, you're sending to someone in the same country as you and use either money from your PayPal Account Balance or your Bank Account - there's no fees.
