Help about payment being hold

Pay pal has said they have selected my payment for review and payment on hold temporarily until the investigation is over Because they think the funds was not authorized by the pay pal account holder which is me. Has this ever happen to anyone ? Can you tell me how long it took and what was the outcome if this ever happen to you.

Holds on funds can be for various reasons - anything from an issue with the sender's account to receiving account being new or unverified or has an open dispute and/or claim. Unfortunately there's no way to identity the root cause through a public community such as this one. What we do know is that the times can vary from 1 to 2 days and/or possibly up to 21.
