Fee For Friend From Japan Sending Money to me in the US?

Hi, is there a way for my friend (who is in Japan) to send me money (I'm in the US) without suffering from a transfer fee?

I don't think there is a way to avoid this. Just like banks, there will always be a fee for currency conversion- so for this reason I don't think there's a way to bypass the fee.

unless your friend in Japan has US DOLLARS in his Paypal account,one of you will pay 3% conversion fee,there could be other fee involved as well,check it out 0n paypal-fee schedule
