Company I do not recognize.

I have a charge on my account from a company I do not recognize. I am wondering if anyone knows CLOUDVPN (which is what the charge is listed as) or NORDVPN (which is where my initial email question was sent). I shop online often but do not use my PayPal account very much so this just jumped out at me. It shows as a preapproved amount and this puzzles me. I do not know if it is an item or a service -   I feel so clueless!

Hi @IsSusan

Thanks for reaching out to the PayPal Community for assistance. I'm afraid that I am personally unfamiliar with those companies but I do know what a VPN is. A VPN is a "virtual private network" that is intended to mask or hide your IP address. It is basically a way to surf the web anonymously. If you're paying for these services as a billing agreement, it could be that someone subscribed to these services using your PayPal login information.

If you are unfamiliar with this type of service, I would check with any family members who have access to your PayPal account information. If no one is familiar with these payments, I would highly recommend canceling your billing agreement and reporting these transactions as unauthorized. Here are a few helpful links for this process.

If you wish to contact PayPal customer service, you can reach customer support by FacebookTwitter, or phone or email.
