Combining PayPal credit with an ebay gift card

My paypal credit limit is $250 I wanted to buy something for $300, but i found out that I cant use any other payment method with paypal credit.

I was wondering if I used a $50 dollar ebay gift card first, if it would be possible to pay the rest using paypal credit?
