Can I tell if a payment was sent?

I have a client who is claiming that he sent a payment which I did not receive. He says he has not received anything from Paypal about any problems and that the money was withdrawn from his bank account. Is there any way I can tell if a payment was sent to me and there was some problem- like maybe he spelled something wrong in my email address- and therefore it was not taken from his account?

How did you sell it was it paypal privately or ebay?

It's someone who wants to pay me for a service so no Ebay or other. I just figured out he spelled my name wrong, lol.

Yep sounds like an email addy mistake.

Can you get him to check that AND ask him what it says next to the transaction in his paypal account.

1. Unclaimed.

2. Unclaimed with a cancel option.

3. Completed.

4. Pending.
