Account types for using Paypal Adaptive payments on my App

Hello Everyone,

I need to use Paypal Adaptive parallel payments on my app. Before I apply for approval to the Paypal team I have a quesiton.

My app is a marketplace where there are 3 parties doing business. They are Customers (Buyer), App Owner (That's me), Vendor (Seller).

I understand that I as an App owner have to have a Paypal business account. Customer or buyer can have Business or personal account.

My question is WHAT IS THE TYPE OF PAYPAL ACCOUNT A VENDOR (SELLER) SHOULD HAVE ? Business or Personal ?

Hi dejawooh,

Great question - the answer is actually either. Sellers can function on Personal accounts if they have low volume and sell something "every so often." Typically though, sellers will have personal accounts. I hope this helps! 🙂
