I have some money left in my PayPal balance that's about $5 short of a purchase I would like to make.
I do not have the full amount for the purchase available on the Card which I have linked with PayPal. I do, however, have $5 on the card.
If I try to purchase the item, will PayPal:
use the money I have in my current PayPal balance and then use the Card to pay the difference ?
or
calculate there is not enough in the remaining PayPal Balance and try to complete the purchase for the full amount on the Card?
Hopefull it's not the latter... I don't want to wait 4 days for something as small as a $5 transfer..

Hi @Induran,
That's a great question!
If you hold a balance within your PayPal account, the funds will always first process from the balance. The remaining amount due would need to come from a funding source on your PayPal account.
I hope this information helps.
Thanks,
Tricia

I'm sorry to hear of the frustration.
I would recommend reaching out to PayPal regarding the issue. If you had an available balance, the funding source will always be the balance. Were fund funds available in your balance? If you've received funds and they are on hold, you wouldn't be able to use the funds. Give us a call, we can look into this.
A PayPal specialist can be reached directly at 888-221-1161 Monday through Friday, 4 a.m. to 10 p.m. Pacific and weekends from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Pacific for additional assistance. PayPal can also be reached on Facebook at Facebook.com/PayPal and on Twitter at @AskPayPal.
