Theft of money by dispute

I was sent two payments of $120 by some guys and bought premium currency and sent it to them, with my commission on top. Along with that, I sold a game to them and the money for that was in one of the payments. After they learned my account had been limited, they disputed the payments and won, having them refunded. I lost all of the money, they got it back and all the stuff they bought at no charge. I contacted support and they just sent auto messages to me, completely unhelpful. What do I do?

There is no paypal seller protection for "virtual" transactions, you can make them but at your own risk.

Did you sell virtual items or physical items you shipped with tracking?

Did you you receive payments for merchandise or as friends/family/gift?

Did you use a web site for the transactions--like a web store?

Why was your account limited?

It's diffiuclt to know how to answer without knowing the necessary details and chronology of events.

It was virtual items and it was just sent as non payment funds. I used multiple web stores to buy the items and my account was limited because of that. The items were sent in game but I have receipts of the payments.

You bought multliple virtual items from multiple web stores and then you sold virtual items.

That activity was likely suspicious as there no phiyscial items purchased.  It could easily look like simple money transfers from and to suspcious accounts.

You won't have protection for virtual items and for suspicious activity.

It would seem you have no recourse.

Of course you could call PayPal custromer service and talk to a specialist, but likely to no avail.

So even if I have all the receipts for the purchases, there's nothing I can do about it?

Correct.

But you can try, but you have no seller protection.
