Payment Return

I sent a payment on August 30th. Today (September 30th) I reveived and email from paypal that my payment had been returned because it had been unclaimed for 30 days. Under the transaction details, it states that the money has been returned to my card and all is complete. But checking my bank account, it has most definitely not been returned. Does anyone know how long it may take to show back up in my account?

Here's some info concerning how refunds are handled:

When a refund is issued, it does not go to your bank account. Any transactions you want going to your bank account must be initiated by you.

If you paid using your PayPal Account Balance or Bank Account, the refund is credited back to your PayPal Account Balance. Times can vary for many reasons, it can take from 1 day to several days depending on the funding source used by the party doing the refund.

If you paid using a credit card, the refund is credited back to that card. That process can take up to 2 weeks for the credit to appear on your card statement.

If you paid using a prepaid type card, the refund is credited back to that card however, as many cards are not reloadable, you have to contact the card issuer for assistance with getting the credit reapplied to the card. (Note, the refund time can take up to 2 weeks.)

Refunds are in the same currency and at the same conversion rate as the original payment.

It was just my debit card, which is linked to my bank account. And paypal initiated the refund because the money went unclaimed. I figured out that I had sent it to the wrong (non-existent) email address, which is why it went unclaimed. The bigger problem is now I need to send the money to the correct email. Since the money has not been deposited back onto my card/into my bank account, I don't have the funds to do so. And am unfortunately on a time limit. 😕
