Payment Question

 I just tryed adding money to my account so I'd know that i'd have it in there when i made an online purchase, but then it said I have to be 18 years old. So my question is this:

If I buy it then pay through my debit/credit card... will I have to have an 18+ authenticate it? 

The purchase is for my father's birthday and he's is the only 18+ member of the household so I don't want him to know about it yet. Thank you for your time.

What type of Paypal account do you have ...Is it a student account which your parents deposit money into.

i've no idea what sort of account I have... up on the top left it say Account : Personal.

How do you check if it's a student or not?
