Paying for Buy it Now Items on ebay without a Credit Card

Hello!

I want to buy a "Buy It Now" item on ebay but I run into a problem everytime I try to check out. Even though I have a verified bank account connected to my Paypal account, it keeps pestering me to enter credit card information when I try to pay. The problem is that I don't have a credit card, and only a Debit Card. Is there anyway to check out with that? I'm also wondering if adding enough funds from my bank account to my Paypal account will allow me to bypass this step. Would that work?

If you add funds from your bank account to your PayPal Account balance, the funds for the purchase should then be taken from the account balance. (At leas that's the way it's supposed to work.)

So as long as I transfer enough funds to my Paypal account it won't pester me for a credit card before trying to pay?
