How about any credit cards with expired dates - that too can trigger this error.
Unfortunately the error message is generic, it may be that it's just a system glitch at that point in time. As we are a member to member help group, we don't have the resources to pin down a route cause. Just toss out some suggestions that have helped others.
You can wait a bit and retry, but before doing so, refresh your web browser by deleting the cookies, temp files and history. Then close the browser, reopen and retry.
You can also try using a different web browser or computer is possible.
