So recently someone sent me money but instead of receiving it right away it says pending how do I accept it so I can get my money right away?

Click on the transaction to see if there is information on the hold.
Usually when the status of a payment is pending, it means that PayPal is reviewing it, checking payment source. There is nothing you can do. PayPal will release the payment when they are finished with the review. The only reason where you would need to accept payment if the sender is unregistered or you use a account setting that allows you to manually accept each payment. Even with those, PayPal has the right to hold it as pending for their review.
Also note that if you are a new account, you will go through the 21 day hold on payments.
