HELP- Instant Payment received

So I got an email last week stating Instant Payment received- so I shipped the package.  I did recieve another email stating Your PayPal account has been credited - but there is nothing in my account on paypal or in my bank account.  HELP

Well, welcome to the boards....and I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. 😞

 

From what you're saying, it would seem that those emails you received are not legitimately from PayPal.  If you've received a payment, even if we're holding it due to our Funds Availability program, you would still be able to, at the very least, see the payment in your account.

 

If there's nothing there, then the transaction never actually happened.  The fact that you've received emails telling you to ship and such...  I would definitely forward those emails to spoof@paypal.com to verify the legitimacy of them.

 

You'll want to contact the shipping company to see if they can stop delivery, but if that fails I'm not sure you'll have any other recourse other than contacting law enforcement to see what options, if any, are available.
