On november 26th 2014, I made a purchase with Ananda Woodworking; the amount of $105 was taken out of my bank account
and the status of my purchase put on "pending", due to the long weekend holiday; today on december 1st, the payment clears,
and for a SECOND time, the amount is taken out of my account; so there's the $105 authorization (taken out, paid) and the actual payment (taken out again) when the payment was claimed by the seller.
What's going on?? in my summary, only the second amount shows but in my bank account, the amount was taken out twice...

Greetings to all,
First of all, I wish to apologise to "kernowlass" for my impatience and ungrateful demeanor.
I'm happy to say that the staff at Paypal was most patient and helpful.
The matter has been solved; my bank 'didn't bother to tell me' that the first amount was 'on hold'
But today, the second charge was returned.
I wish to thank kernowlass for his assistance and again offer my apologies for my curt response to his solution.
Paypal has changed over the years; there wa a time when you couldn't reach anyone to solve an issue.
I'm happy to say that I'm impressed by their customer service today; much appreciated.
Thank you kernowlass, the Paypal solution staff and board members.
A happy customer,

Yet I see Paypal representatives answer questions here; I ask why the authorization became a charge ($105)
and then a RE charge (another $105) when it was cleared 5 days later;
Maybe 'somebody' went through this and can help me; it's not the seller who charged me twice, but rather Paypal
who processed the payment 'accidentally' twice; unless the auhorization was just temporary and will be
refunded since The payment was made;I'm waiting for a reply rom Paypal..
I may have to turn to Visa to fix this if I don't get an answer from Support at PP.
Saying this is not the right place to ask such a queston is not an answer and certainly doesn't reflect
the attitude of a 'community'. So 'helpful' replies are welcome.

Even the moderators that post on here can't view your paypal account.
They will ask you to contact them via phone or social media.
My answer was helpful, just not what you wanted to hear.
Won't waste my time trying to help you again in the future.
