Can't enter an amount to send to friends

Hi there.  I can get to the 'Send and Receive' page, choose to send money to a friend and use the drop down to select my currency of choice.  All good so far, but ruined when I try to click in the figures 00:00 to put in an amount and I can't even click into those numbers, let alone put an amount in.  This has been happening for weeks now and all I have been told is to clear cache and cookies on my web browser of choice, which I have done...but still no joy.  My account is working properly to pay for things bought on ebay so what is going on with the Paypal website page I need?  Anyone having the same problems?

Same problem here, been having it for weeks. All I get when I fill out an inquiry form is a computer-generated response that doesn't address the problem.

Paypal used to be simple but like all the big companies, keep 'improving' their products to the point that we can't use them anymore.

After experiencing the same problem, I was able to trick it to accepting my amount. Right click on the 0.00 and "select all" then copy and paste the dollars and cents into the field as one number.
