I purchased something only to find that it is being sent to my old address. I tried to contact the seller only to receive an email that it failed permanently because "recipient address rejected: user unknown"... so what does this mean...how can I resolve it if I cannot contact the seller?

Unfortunately issues such as this cannot be resolved here - you would have to contact customer support with your concerns.
