So I brought something from depop that cost me £27 I sent her the money through f&f. I lately found out from other buyers that they had also brought the same item. All they recieved was a empty elevolop. This has happened to around 20 other people! When I sent the money it came from my card not PayPal as I didn't have any in my PayPal at the time. I've messaged her many times asking for a refund but I've had no reply for 4 days now. I don't know where to go from here.

Hi, “gift” or “personal” payments are intended as transfer of funds from family or friends to one another. For this reason, there is no processing fee when payment is made with bank or PayPal balance.

On the other hand, as it is a “personal” payment, there is also no Buyer protection as no goods or services should have been exchanged.

If he was not a close mate or family member why would you use that option, enabling the seller to evade his paypal fees and negating your buyer protection at the same time.

Your only hope is if you funded your paypal payment via a credit card then contact your card issuer and see if they will help you.
