Buying With Multiple Funding Sources

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to purchase a $119 item with $100 mastercard giftcard and $20 from my bank account. I set my giftcard as the main funding source during checkout using paypal and it said declined. Why is it declined? How can I use giftcard as primary source and bank account as backup to fund the purchase?

The only time you can split a payment is if you have funds in your paypal account balance that paypal will take first and then another source.
