I'm selling something to someone and they paid with eCheck. I'm hesitant to ship the item until the amount of the check ends up in my account balance. However, the buyer claims that they can't cancel the eCheck and there's nothing he can do to get his money back, so he's getting impatient and wants me to just ship the item now even though the eCheck hasn't cleared. He now says that in trying to scam him because I haven't sent the item yet, but the money isn't into my account so how am I supposed to know that he won't cancel the eCheck right? Is that possible? Any help and information about how eChecks work would be greatly appreciated.
