Unfortunately there's no way to check your account setup via the public community forum. Assuming you have everything configure properly between both your Shopify account and your PayPal Account, when the customer completes the checkout process, you will get both an email notification and a record of the same transaction in your Account Activity Section. If you're not getting either, then there's something not configured properly. Suggest starting with Shopify's support or community to ensure that your store is configured properly.
