Hello. I normally stream online and have had viewers ask about possibly "donating"/tipping to help support my stream. I've looked into opening a paypal for that specific reason, however I noticed that if you are to receive payment, your personal information gets shown.
I've been looking around the internet looking for ways to keep your information private and I was advised to upgrade to a business account. As a streamer, would you have to register an actual business (with your state) to be applicable for a business account? I noticed that you could place your SSN instead of EIN and link it to a normal checking account to receive tips that way as well.
If your SSN and a normal checking account is only what's required, what would be the best type of business to be listed under as? (ie: sole proprietor/llc/non profit)
Thank you and much appreciated!
